The Pet Resort at Turkey Hill Farm offers a boutique overnight boarding experience designed as a true home-away-from-home. Each guest follows a personalized daily routine for feeding, exercise, and rest—closely mirroring life at home to promote comfort and reduce stress. We care for a maximum of three dogs at a time, allowing for attentive, one-on-one care, unhurried play, and plenty of cuddles. Active dogs receive extra play and exercise, while older dogs enjoy gentle walks and quiet companionship. To maintain a calm and peaceful environment, guests are not openly socialized, and in-home boarders crate overnight. This intentional approach allows us to provide a private, low-stimulation retreat where every dog feels safe, relaxed, and deeply cared for

Whether your pet is staying with us for kennel boarding, in-home boarding, or receiving drop-in care, their individual needs are thoughtfully discussed in advance. We take the time to understand your pet’s routines, preferences, and comfort levels so their care closely mirrors life at home. Every pet is unique, and our goal is to provide a calm, safe, and enjoyable experience where they feel secure and well cared for. Our Boarding Experience
Every overnight guest—whether kennel or in-home—enjoys a thoughtfully structured day designed to balance enrichment, relaxation, and comfort. Each dog receives two leashed walks daily along our meadow, field, or forest trails—one in the morning and one later in the day. Walk duration is tailored to the individual, with active dogs receiving longer or additional walks as needed. Throughout the day, multiple shorter outings are provided for bathroom breaks. Guests also enjoy off-leash exercise in our fully enclosed indoor sand arena, perfect for safe play regardless of weather. You’re welcome to send your dog’s favorite ball, or they may use one of ours. While exploring the property, dogs may catch glimpses of chickens, horses, or local wildlife such as wild turkeys, deer, or cottontail rabbits—adding to the enriching, countryside experience. In periods of extreme weather, the spacious 60 x 150 ft. indoor sand arena may be used in place of outdoor hikes. Late-night and early-morning bathroom breaks are always provided to ensure no dog is ever uncomfortable. To support restful evenings, we play gentle, calming zen-style music at a low volume throughout the night. Guests sleep on top-of-the-line Kuranda raised beds or plush bedding, and you’re always welcome to bring your dog’s own bed from home for added familiarity. Included with every booking, you’ll receive a daily recap and photo update, so you can relax knowing your dog is enjoying their stay
General Information
- Our boarding rates are per night not 24hrs
- Check-in: After 3 PM
- Check-out: Before 11 AM
- Early drop-off or late pick-up is available for an extended stay fee of $20 per period (please inquire in advance)
Health & Safety Requirements
- All boarding guests must be current on core vaccinations (Rabies & DAPP/DHPP/DA2PP)
- Proof of vaccination is required prior to booking confirmation
- Bordetella and Leptospirosis vaccines are strongly recommended
- Dogs booked for in-home boarding must be on flea & tick prevention
Arrival & Program Guidelines
- Dogs must remain leashed during drop-off and pick-up, as we have free-roaming barn cats and livestock on the property
- Dogs new to boarding, must complete a minimum of one full day of daycare prior to acceptance into our program
- Daycare evaluation fee: $45
Is This the Right Fit?
The Pet Resort at Turkey Hill Farm is best suited for dogs who already have experience with overnight boarding or who are comfortable resting in a crate or kennel. Familiarity with structure and confinement helps dogs transition smoothly into a new environment and keeps their stay safe and low-stress. We are happy to work with pet parents who wish to introduce boarding gradually. Dogs with daily crate experience at home—or prior crate training from puppyhood—typically adapt very well to our boarding routine. For dogs new to overnight stays, we offer a thoughtful progression through daycare visits and short overnight stays, allowing confidence and comfort to build over time. Dogs who have never been boarded and have no crate experience are not candidates for our program unless crate training is first established at home. Introducing confinement for the first time in a new environment can be extremely stressful and is not in the dog’s best interest. Our goal is to ensure every guest arrives prepared, relaxed, and set up for a positive experience—because we care about your dog.
In-Home Boarding
- In-home style boarding is $55/night.
- An additional dog from the same household is $35/night
- We do not charge a holiday rate for long weekends but we do require a 3-night minimum stay/rate.
- Christmas bookings that include any of the dates between December 24, 2026 – Jan 2, 2027 will have the holiday rate applied on every night of the booking
- In-home holiday rate is $75/night
Keeping with our private and personalized boarding experience, in-home guests will enjoy their own designated area in our home. Guests receive personal time for couch snuggles, movie nights and comfy beds for napping after a nice walk. All guests have the opportunity to engage in these activities outside of our regular walks. When winding down before bed, your pet can curl up on our big oversize couch. In the winter, they might enjoy resting in front of the fireplace! Please specify if your pet is not permitted on furniture.
Things to note… We do not accept guests in the home that are not fully house-trained. We also do not accept excessive barkers or guests with destructive behaviors. We are unable to accept intact males or females in heat in the home. Please consider our kennel option if any of the above applies to your dog. All dogs in our home will be crated for bedtime as well as any unsupervised times during the day. Crating can be discussed in more detail. Our personal dogs are not socialized with boarders nor are the cats. Our home is designed in such a way that it is easy to have these boundaries and separate living spaces. In-home guests must be on flea & tick prevention.
Kennel Boarding
- Kennel boarding in a 6×4 suite is $45/night
- Additional dog from the same family in their own suite $35/night
- Double occupancy; two dogs from same family in the same suite is $25/night for the second dog (available to small/medium dogs only)
- We do not charge a holiday rate for long weekends but we do require a 3-night minimum stay/rate.
- Christmas bookings that include any of the dates between December 24, 2026 – Jan 2, 2027 will have the holiday rate applied on every night of the booking
- Kennel holiday rate $65/night
Our kennels are individual 6×4 suites suitable for large or small breed dogs. Our suites are temperature controlled year round; warm in the winter and cool in the summer! Our kennel room is set up just like a home; open, airy and bright. The kennel room is furnished with TV, couch, vinyl plank flooring and and lots of windows. Just like our in-home guests, Kennel guests receive plenty of human companionship outside of our scheduled walks and arena time. Our kennel guests get tv time and couch snuggles everyday day as well as calming soft music at night. Your dog will have a customized feeding and exercise schedule that resembles home life. Boarders are not openly socialized with other boarders. All walks and off leash time are private and customized for each guest.
Drop-In Care
- Drop-in visits at your home, start at $35 per 30 minute visit
- Additional rates will apply for multiple animal households. Please inquire.
- Bookings over Christmas that include any of the dates between December 24, 2026 – Jan 2, 2027 will have the holiday rate applied on every night of the booking
- Drop-in visit holiday rate starts at $50
Our drop-in care service is offered to local residents only (Nestleton, Janetville, Viewlake, Ceasarea, Yelverton) and is available on a first come first serve basis. Drop-in care is ideal for pets that need care in their own home while their human is away. Your pet(s) will have their food & water filled and refreshed. I will provide a bathroom break outside or clean the litter box and provide general companionship for your pet. Bookings are available throughout the day, for morning, midday, and early evening blocks of time. In an attempt to accommodate all pets in my care, I cannot guarantee a specific time. All bookings will be for a block of time around your preferred time. Dogs with unfenced yards will need to be on leash. Exceptions are considered for farm dogs. You will receive an update & picture of your pet at the end of each drop-in care booking. Core vaccines are required for dogs in my drop-in care program.
